We have added two new services to our menu.
Keratin Lash Lift

You’re probably wondering what on earth are Keratin Lash Lifts and Keratin Brow Laminations.
Keratin Lash Lift
A Keratin Lash Lift is a service in which we restructure and curl your lashes for a fuller and fluffier affect for up to 8 weeks.
This service also includes a lash tint, this means you won’t need to use mascara for up to 4 weeks (which is pretty exciting right?!)

The great thing about this service is - it can be done while your colour is processing or when your hair is being toned and treated at the basin.
We can also do this as a standalone service.
Keratin Lash Lift is priced at $85 and takes between 30 - 40 minutes.
Keratin Brow Lamination
A Brow Lamination is a service much like a lash lift. The service restructures the brow hairs to keep them in a specific desired shape for 6-7 weeks.
Designed to give the illusion of fuller and fluffier brows. We use a gentle chemical process to smooth out and straighten the brow hairs and redirecting their natural growth pattern, this gives you that brushed up supermodel brow look.
Below is an example of a Keratin Brow Lamination.
Keratin Brow Lamination can be done while your already in salon for a colour or haircutting service.
We will be offering this service as a standalone service or it can be bundled with a Keratin Lash Lift and a tint of both your brows and lashes.
This service takes between 30 - 45 minutes.

Sachajuan has landed in salon
SACHAJUAN is driven by the beauty of simplicity. When we launched our range, we felt that haircare was becoming too complex. We wanted to make things easier for our stylists and clients.
The name originates from the founders Sacha Mitic and Juan Rosenlind who combined their names to form SACHAJUAN when they started their Stockholm salon in 1997.
The SACHAJUAN range was inspired by their ideas about how hair should look, feel and move, combined with their perspective on the industry and a desire to make hair care easy and understandable for stylists and our clients.

Many of you are in lockdown right now, doing your bit to stop the spread of COVID-19. Some of you are working from home, some of you are still able to work. Thankfully, You by Luke Perger is open for business, and working to ensure you are looking gorgeous for your Zoom meetings, walk around the block and visit to the supermarket. But for many, getting out of the house isn’t as easy as it used to be.
The challenges of this lockdown period got me thinking about other ways I could help you look and feel great between your salon visits. So I came up with the idea to create an online course for you all. This course is called ‘Style Me’ and it’s going to teach you some tips and tricks on how to style your own hair when you’re unable to come into the salon.
With the social scene shut down, hopefully everyone has a little extra time on their hands to hone their styling skills. The added bonus is that you can send this email onto your girlfriends so they can perfect their styling skills too.
This styling course covers the following areas:
- Identifying your hair type and the conditon of your scalp and hair,
- Choosing the correct products for your for and how to apply them,
- Correctly using hot tools (hair dryers, brushes, straighteners and curling wands), and
- Finishing your hair style.
The course is easy to work through and you will find it very informative. It is made up of video tutorials and a downloadable workbook. There is a lot of information in the workbook, so you can acheive better results at home.
I’m sure you’re all reading through this email asking yourself ‘how much is this course?’ This is all available to you for $70, I have packed it with information and lessons for you but want to keep it affordable. With five videos currently included, I will be updating and adding more video tutorials through the year. There are already plans for another three in the coming months.

Our New Salon.
Welcome to our new salon.
There have been a few set backs - but I am finally opening the doors to the new salon! I couldn’t be more excited or nervous about this next chapter, but with your support I know it’s going to be an amazing one!
Our new salon is located at 249A Gold Street, Clifton Hill 3068.
Over the years, our community has steadily grown and with that my philosophy has evolved. When you visit my salon to have your hair done I believe the experience should be personal, intimate and, above all, about you (and sometimes a little about me!). This is where the new salon name comes from - You. By Luke Perger. The salon is my second home and for that reason, the new salon space will reflect that. It is extremely welcoming and homely. You’ll also be greeted by my extremely loving and affectionate Dog, Scout. I mean, could a salon visit get any better?! Well yes it can! We will be serving wine for those clients who have afternoon and evening appointments and, of course, coffee, tea and filtered and sparkling water on tap. Through summer iced coffee and tea will also be available for something a little different.
Without all of the love and support of our clients - this new salon wouldn’t have happened. So I want to say a huge thank you to all of you who have helped in any way along this journey! You’re all definitely more than just customers or clients to me, you’re close friends and an extension of our family. You all want to help us succeed in whatever it is that I do and I want to be able to do the same in return. So, if there are any charity events you would like to host in the new salon space to raise money or awareness for anything you may be passionate about - the doors are open to you all.

Some truths about colour corrections
We all love a great before and after! I've been doing quite a few colour corrections lately and I wanted to share some of them with you all. A colour correction isn't always changing from dark to blonde, it can be red to brunette, blonde to brown or blonde to pastel tones. Whenever we're changing your hair colour, that is more than likely a colour correction. We are correcting the overall tone or depth of the colour you walk in with everytime you walk into the salon. One question you will always be asked by any good hairdresser is 'what products do you use at home?'. This is an important question because what you use at home can impact the results that the hairdresser is going to be able to achieve. For example, if you use Tresemme or Pantene at home, these products cause a chemical reaction with colouring products and that reaction causes damage to the hair. By using a salon quality product you're protecting your hair from chemical damage, sun damage and heat styling.
In salon, we offer quite a few take home products from multiple brands. KMS moist repair is a great all rounder, it offers colour protection, moisturising and reparative. Revlon Professional offer Uniqone all-in-one styling treatment, this product will replace quite a few products in your bathroom cupboard. This product offers benefits such as Shine, Frizz control, Heat Protection, UV Filters, Adds Body and prevents split ends. Using these products will help maintain your colour, help to repair, while adding shine and easy styling, without breaking the bank.
So many people have now heard of and used Olaplex to help repair their damaged hair. Olaplex isn’t the only product out there to give us the great results that we’ve all grown to love. L’Oreal Smart Bond is a new product in the industry, but it is the best I’ve come across. Not only does it repair your hair while it's being coloured, it helps to moisturise and bring life back to your hair. You’ll now see Smart Bond on the shelves for you to take home and try it for yourself. You will love the results, I know I do!
The absolute best compliment you can give your hairdresser is a referral. I would like to remind you that you will be rewarded for sending your friends to see me.
